Clifton Parker was born at St. John's Hospital in Brooklyn, NY on November 8, 1960, to the late Elmo Parker Sr. and the late Edna (Campbell) Parker. He was educated in the New York Public School System at John J. High School and later went on to graduate from the Empowerment Bible Institute in 2017 at the top of his class earning a certificate of achievement in theology.
He moved to Rhode Island in 1998 where he met and married the love of his life Kaawa Ann Johnson. To this union was born one son Clifton and one daughter Chyanne.
Cliff was employed as manager/supervisor for Goldstein Office Furniture. He retired from Custom Built Windows where he worked as a designer.
Cliff had a deep reverence and love for God, so much so that he answered the call to become a deacon, at his beloved church, House of Manna Ministries where he served for many years.
Cliff was a devoted family man whose love for his family was relentless and fierce. His passion was cooking. He was best known for his potato salad that always received rave reviews.
He also enjoyed cooking collard greens and made his signature sweet potato pie for family and friends.
Clifton is preceded in death by his sisters: Renee Morris, Elmira Parker and Konya McKenzie(sister-in-law) his brothers: Elmo Parker Jr. and Emmanuel Parker.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Kaawa Ann Johnson Parker of North Providence RI. Four children: Yakim Parker (Solgalim) of North Providence, RI, Chanti Bryant (Keith) of Elizabeth City New Jersey, Clifton Johnson and Chyanne Johnson both of North Providene, RI. Six grand-children: Oriana Park, Yakira Parker, Arquese Parker, Saion Bryant, Nadia Bryant and Jamar Johnson. Sisters Sondra Parker-Crosby, Sanjour (Pinky) Parker-Stanley both of Brooklyn, NY, Annzoria Johnson (sister-in-law)of Pawtucket, RI and his brother Charles Freeman-Parker of Silver Spring, MD and a hosts of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 9am-11am with a funeral home service starting at 11am. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.
